I'm want to start my flight training this summer in Hawaii, but I'm moving back to the mainland during the summer also.  Will my flight time transfer easily?  Is it worth it to start here or should I just wait until I move?  Any comments or suggestions would be very helpful.  Also I'm probably going to take the part 141 route.

Your flight time will transfer over anywhere.  Just make sure you call the flight school you’re planning on going to and ask them.

You Will be fine as long as all your flight time is logged properly. You flight instructor should have signed off each flight. Make sure you have them all in your logbook before you move

Your flight time will transfer all flight time counts if it is logged it counts

But there is something you should consider.......if you are going to come back to the states and go to a part 141 school they may make you do proficiency training!

for Example.
i have instructed at many 141 schools and if a student was in the middle of  his private at a part 61 school and transfered to a 141 school the student would end up spending more than if a student started his PVT with the 141 school because they have there own standardization so they would retrain you the way they wanted so you would end up spending more money but your flight time still counts!
