Hello to all. I have been doing allot of researching as to how I can put my self threw helicopter flight school. I should of have done it when I fist got out of the Marine Corps in 1991. I have many hours of flight time in all sizes of military and civilian helicopters. At 42 I have finally hit rock bottom in my profession as a mechanic. In the past 20+ years I have been working on everything from lawn mowers to multi-million dollar heavy equipment. I have recently had around $40k of my uninsured tools stolen. So if I am going to start over I am going to change professions. I am trying to find out how to pay for all of this, thanks to my credit score I could not get a loan to pay attention.  I found a school close to home in Denver, Colorado. I don't no why that is important, I have been unemployed almost a year.  The school is  in real good standing with the FAA, but are not apart of the FAFSA. I was not really looking to go to college for a degree. Child support and my bills will not stop for me to take 4 years off for school. If some one could point me in some direction that I have not looked in that would be great.   I have been really looking at the Heavy-Lift Helicopter market with all the wind mills going up they have to be maintained. I see that as a real good spot for a guy to make a honest days pay for a honest days work. Well first things first I need to get back in school. Thank You

How?s it going Lucky?
You can check out this link for a few ways to finance your flight training: http://www.flightschoollist.com/flight_training_loans.php
You will get your training done faster at your local flight school than you would at a college.  Since you have some experience flying helicopters you should catch on faster than most people.  Just remember that after you get all your helicopter rating you will have to build some time before anyone will hire you (unless you have a lot of money to rent a helicopter and fly it around to build your hours).

Tell me about it- tyring to fund your flight-training is a huge pain in the butt.

I'm totally not trying to broadcast some crap here, but I've honestly found a way (that works for me-maybe not for you or anyone else) that has helped me get money to pay for my flight training in cash.

I'm putting in a URL for anyone to check out
