Hi to all

just joined this forum, am currently doing my PPL (25 Hour Mark) and just had my second solo today, this was after 4 text book touch and goes wiht the instructor, the solo took a wrong note wiht a  go  around not executed well(forgot carb heat and flaps) hence plane did not climb, speed was reducing, stall warning going off so its was an unnerving period anyways i managed to land after my second go around.

This expereince shook me big time as progress to this point had been very steady, my instructors were very suportive as it seems that in aviation its not so much the mistakes one makes but the recovery . decision making to address th situation (saving the souls on board and the plane). I expect my next flights and solos to be better and hope to post some videos soon

Welcome captbesweri,
We all make mistakes, even veteran pilot with thousands of hours.  You did the right thing by going around and trying the landing again.  That?s shows you that your taking action and know that you messed up and you fixed the problem by going around and trying it again.  Remember, if it doesn?t look right, go around and try it again.  Practice makes perfect.  Good luck with your flight training and keep us up to date on how things are going.
