Good to meet you guys.  I'm Tim, I'm a former Active Duty Marine and now I live in FL and I am using my GI bill for flight training.  I'm currently pursuing my multiengine and commercial ratings.  If I have any $ left in the account, I may pursue a CFI...

Looking forward to learning from you all.

Tim

Nice to meet you too timinfla2.  If you have the money, go for your CFI.  It will look a lot better on your resume and you will get a lot more experiance.  It's also a great way to build time while getting paid.

Good Luck

Thank you Comanche.  I think I'll take your advice!  One thing - are you aware of any 141 schools that teach sea planes?  I'd really love my sea plane endorsement and I'd love it even more if Uncle Sam would pick up 60% of the tab...

Thank you,
Tim

Here are a couple of schools that offer floatplane ratings, they also offer part 141 training but you should call and make sure that the floatplane training is under part 141.

Good Luck and let us know how your training goes.
