I've seen on pretty much all of the school websites that the minimum training to obtain a private helicopter license in terms of hours of training is 40 but that most people require an average of 50 up to 60 hrs.

What i'd like to see or rather hear from people is what progression do a vast majority of you go through...namely, say at 10 hrs, where are you...20 hrs, 30 hrs etc

For the most part i'm interested in people that are going through training that don't already have fixed wing training but for those of you that do...please mention that so there can be a separation between straight rotor vs fixed wing trained pilots.
