So...I'm new here...and I guess my entry into all this wasn't expected to be as I describe...but here goes...I am a 50 year old mother of two who has had a pathological fear of flying for several years...as a bit of a "gear head" I wanted to learn about flying as a means to resolve my fear issues...ground school first...all good there...passed my knowledge exam and then was encouraged to at least give the whole fyling a try...did that...needless to say got hooked very quickly...and surprisingly got over my fear pretty well too...so have put in over 30 hours in the air and done 60 or so landings...time for the "solo"...all good until the landing at which time I landed on the nose gear...and the wheel felloff...no nose wheel collapse and I actually landed on center line...propeller bent...engine needs rebuilding...the rest...well you porbably all know the rest...this was 2 days ago...the emotional impact has been huge...and now I feel back to square one as far as being afraid to get into the plane...I simply don't know how to move forward...
